PASANELLA & FIGLIO ROSATO IGT MAREMMA, 2011

After the success of our Pasanella & Figlio Rosso and Bianco, we're excited to announce our Pasanella & Figlio Rosato made from ciliegiolo, an uncommon varietal indigenous to Southern Tuscany's Maremma region. As with our red or white, we have focused on bringing you another great-tasting, great-value, organic wine. Just like our other wines, our Rosato is an IGT, which stands for "Indicazione Geografica Tipica", a quality indication that a wine's provenance is guaranteed from that region.

The wine has a lovely, subtle cherry aroma, 'ciliegilo' is cherry in Italian. We particularly love that it has many of the best traits of our favorite roses from all over Europe rolled concisely into one dynamite wine: the subtle weight and freshness of the classic Provencal roses, the distinctly Tuscan minerality that also recalls the Alps and the Loire Valley, and enough bright, delicious fruit to suggest many a southern Italian or Spanish food pairing. And lets not forget barbecue. In short, it does it all!
